Notes

I rather fancy a highly textured yet sleek cardigan so I’ve gone with a slinky merino in a dk weight. Since I’m using 4mm needles I’m knitting the 38” size (the third size) with my fingers crossed that it’ll turn out a perfect size smaller …

What started as a desire for a rich raspberry/maroon cardigan has resulted in a surprise mulberry cardigan after my online purchase turned up and wasn’t what I expected. It’s not my usual colour choice but I’m hoping that pairing it with a charcoal and mustard, or something that’ll tone it down a bit, it’ll work out …

Cabling without a cable needle is so very easy after a bit of practice. Try it!

……..

Picking this cardigan up after over a year away from it … Absolutely can’t remember the pattern or where I’m up to. After fumbling around and making a massive mistake I’ve finally figured it out, fixed my mistake and I’m off.

I’ve found it easier to knit it with dpns because it spreads the stitches into logical sections but I’m loathing using my old metal dpns and I can’t see my stitches on the wooden tips.

Grrr … my arms are too tight. I knew things weren’t going well a long time ago but I didn’t listen. This yarn is too thin for this cardy and I should have gone up a size. Ugh - I should have SWATCHED! Big mistake. Never. Do. That. AGAIN!

Ripped the lot.
