based on and inspired by Doctor Who’s Daleks, my design uses color work and post stitches to give it a Dalek-type look.

but i’ll actually be using the border from the Charleston Wrap, since it reminded me a bit of the ‘round things’ on the Dalek body.

i’d thought of a lot of ways to actually make them into the body of the shawl, including 5-dcs together in one row, and then a 5-dc shell above it in the next row….

but then i released this shawl is simply inspired by them. i’ve made a few amigurumi Daleks, and this is not that.

Also, Daleks now come in colors! check out the bottom picture for some of the Daleks the Eleventh Doctor faced off against.

number of skeins is pretty much a guess. my first grey skein wasn’t full, and i didn’t completely finish the second one.
