made the bottom a bit bigger, so i started with a total of 41 sitiches on each long side, and 20 sts on the short sides. i decreased the short sides as per pattern, and at row 31 i was at 8 sts. my color pattern was A, A, B, C, B (A is black, B hot purple and C winter berry

instead of surface slip sts on the front and back, i just made surface scs on the front.

finished stitching most of the plastic canvas i put in for the bottom.

the handles were purchased from JoAnn’s and the button is vintage - no idea where it came from, it was in my button box.

reworked the size of the bag, as it didn’t quite hold all that i wanted it to. it’s now closed with a zipper. the surface scs at the top are decorative as well as making sure the stitches that attach the handles to the bag don’t stretch out too too much.
