I love them! Linenstitch is fantastic for gloves, so soft and supple while still dense enough to keep out the cold. Tthe long cuffs are both practical and elegant and the i-cord adds a very stylish touch.
Matching shawl and hat.
Pattern isn’t nearly as difficult as it looks at first glance.
Knitting these in tandem since I have two sets of 2.5mm needles.

Mods

• Knitting 1 more pattern repeat before the second purl round (to accomodate my long, narrow wrists). Did the same for the thumb gusset. Also followed this example and knitted in pattern all round the thumb gusset.
• Of course the fingers turned out to be too narrow so I’m adding 2 stitches to each of them. Also always picking up twice the amount of st and k2tog on the next row.
• Ring finger: 24st, 11 pattern repeats, k2tog 2 rounds.
• Middle finger: 26st, 12 repeats, k2tog 2 rounds.
• Index finger: 26st, 11 repeats, k2tog 2 rounds.
• Pinky: 20st, 8 repeats, k2tog 2 rounds.
• Thumb: 26st, 9 repeats, k2tog 2 rounds.
• Using two DPNs and picking up stitches as I go for the i-cords. Also grafting to an ordinary cast-on.

Timeline
2016-03-08: Finished the cuff of the right glove and started on the left.
2016-03-12: Finished the cuff and thumb gusset on the left glove.
2016-03-15: Finished the thumb gusset and hand on the right glove and started on the fingers.
2016-03-18: Finished the fingers and thumb on the right glove. Finished the hand and started on the fingers on the left.
2016-03-20: Finished the left thumb and fingers and started on the i-cords.
2016-03-21: Finished!!
