General
First cable work ever. So much simpler than I’ve always feared it would be! Used Grumperina’s tutorial for cabling without a cable needle.

Mods

• Made cuff 15 rows.
• Made only 3 cable chart repeats before starting heel.
• Knitted heel plain instead of eye-of-partridge.
• Knitted the picked up stitches in the heel gusset through the back loop on the next round.
• Made a total of 9 cable chart repeats + 1st row + 1 plain row before starting colourwork on foot.
• For toe k2tog for 2 more rounds before cutting yarn and threading through remaining stitches.

Timeline
2016-10-02: Finished the first sock.
2016-10-03: Started on the second.
2016-10-09: Finished! Washed and waiting for them to dry.
