General

• Using the petrol for the ribbing & plackets, red & purple for the stripes. Knitting in the round.
• Buttons from my own stash.

Mods

• Repeat row 30-53 once to lengthen and fit my thin wrists but only make one increase = 40 stitches before start of thumb gusset.
• Place 1st marker after 18 stitches on left mitt and after 20 on right. Knit until gusset is 16 stitches in total. Knit row 77-85. Repeat row 82-85 once. Change to petrol, knit 1 row stockinet. Knit row 86-91. Cast off.
• Thumb: Pick upp 4 stitches + the 16 from the gusset = 20 stitches. Knit one purple stripe = 4 rows. On the inside of the thumb (picked up stitches) knit 2 together twice on the 1st row and twice on the 2nd = 16 stitches. Change to petrol and knit 1 row stockinet. Knit 5 rows of ribbing. Cast off.

Timeline
2014-10-05: Finished first mitt and started second.
2014-10-08: Finished second mitt and placket on the first. Started the second placket.
2014-10-09: Finished the knitting. Managed to find enough buttons for both mitts in my statsh, yay!
