Plain stockinet with 2.25mm needles & colourwork with 2.5.

Used my usual flap-and-gussets heel instead of the one in the pattern.

Mods

• didn’t bother with a provisional cast-on since I find picking up stitches from the CO so quick and easy,
• made fold-down section one extra row (got distracted and didn’t feel like tinking back :-),
• added one plain row at start and end of each colourwork repeat, mirrored all charts for left leg,
• decreased 2 st on first r after colourwork, knit 6 slipstitch repeats and on last r decreased another 2 st = 68 st,
• heel flap (right on needle 1&2, left on 3&4) 32 r knit first and slip last on all r, round heel, EOP during heel turn and another 20 r, picked up 17 st and knit these through the back loop on the first r, gusset decreased to 66 st total,
• foot 23 pattern repeats before starting chart M3, 1 plain r after chart,
• toe decreased every other r until 36 st left then every r until 8 left, cut yarn and pull through.

Timeline
2018-05-03: Realised I’d mixed up MC and CC2 in the charts and if I continued I risked running out of MC so had to unravel and start over from the braid. Grrr!
