Using Grumperina's method for cabling without a cable needle.

Used 2.25mm needles for cuff & hand and 2.5 for fingers & thumb.

Mods

• cast on 56st placing BOR at middle of palm,
• cuff r 1-2 three times,
• placed thumb 4 st after/before start of pattern stitches,
• increased for thumb seven times total then knit 16 r before separating,
• after separating knit 6 r before starting on leaves again,
• knit r 5 - 21,
• cuff r 22 six times,
• thumb picked up 10 st, decreased 2 on the first r then decreased as in pattern, knit 5 r, twisted rib 4 r,
• mirrored the central cable crossing on the second mitt.
