General
I thought the original lace and texture patterns for section 3 and 4 were too busy so I changed both to something more distinct. To make up for my section 4 being smaller I added an extra section using the pattern from section 2. Made an ordinary garter border instead of the one in the pattern. (Many thousands of stitches and turning every 10th stitch? Just NO!)

Colour A orange, colour B cranberry, colour C cerise.
Held two strands of the fingering yarns together so actual meterage used is c. 1427 meters.

Mods

• using lifted increases,
• section 2: used all three colours as in this project: background & slips in A, 4 garter ridges in B, 3 in C, 4 in B, 2 in C, 3 in B, 1 in C; didn’t stop slipping stitches for half the spokes until r 43; last garter ridge purled two r instead of only one,
• section 3: change to colour B, instead of the original lace pattern used idea from this project: [r 1 *yo, k4, k2tog*, r 2 knit all] eight times, [r 3 move BOR one st to the left *k4, yo, ssk*, r 4 knit all] eight times; move BOR one st to the right, knit increase r, change to colour C and knit one + purl two r,
• section 4: change to colour A, knit one r, knit 26 r of own texture pattern, knit one r, change to colour C and knit one + purl two r,
• section 5: [r 1 + 2 knit all with colour A, r 3 *k35 sl2 k36 sl2* r 4 *p35 sl2 p36 sl2* with colour B] twice, knit 2 r with colour A, change to colour C and knit one + purl two r,
• border: with colour B *k 1 r, p 1 r* 4 times + knit one more r,
• i-cord bindoff: 3-stitch, with colour A knit from the wrong side, for every 3 st bound off knit 1 extra row.

Timeline
2017-10-03: C. 75 cm in diameter after finishing Section 2.
2017-11-20: Havent knitted on this in over a month so I’m putting it into hibernation for a while.
2018-10-01: Going to give this a try again.
2018-12-15: Decided to frog back to the beginning of section 2 and start over with three colours.
2018-12-19: Finished section 2 and started section 3.
2018-12-23: Finished section 3 and started section 4.
2018-12-28: Finished section 4 and started section 5.
2018-12-29: Finished section 5 and started border.
2018-12-30: Finished border and started i-cord BO.
2018-12-31: IT’S FINISHED!!
