SFS August Challenge: yarn poll, cast-on post, one of the winners

Mods

• making twisted decreases to match the twisted stitches in the pattern = ktog through the backloop instead of ssk and twist the left-most st clockwise in the ktog,
• leg 4 pattern repeats,
• using my ordinary 32 r stockinet heel flap with first st knit and last slipped with yarn in front on all rows, rounded heel with slipstitch from start of turn until r 20/21 on foot, 17 st picked up on each side for gusset and knit through the backloop on the next r, decreased to 32 st on sole and then 1 on each side of instep = 33 st,
• foot 6 pattern repeats + r 1-7 + r 8 without increases or decreases but decreasing 1 st on the left side,
• toe decreased every other r until 32 st left then every r until 8 left, cut yarn and run through.
