Note to self: Ought to have started in the round much earlier - at least 10 rows - and added the missed increases at center back gradually through out.

How to make a garter tab that doesn’t “hump”: Knit proportionally fewer rows and pick up stitches both in the garter ridges and between them.

Mods

• used provisional CO for the garter tab and only knit 6 r while still picking up 5 st,
• while knitting flat slipped both first and last st on the WS rows and knit them on the RS,
• knit together first & last st when joining in the round and increased 1 st on each side, used the joining stitch to make a purl stripe like on the front,
• changed to larger needles after Section Six,
• changed to even larger needles after Section Eight,
• in Section Nine knit the second eyelet stripe with C3,
• elastic BO purlwise.
