9mm cat eyes from 6060.

Uniforms:
Handsewn from a suit-weight black wool that’s been in my stash for many years. Closed with tiny hooks & eyes, also from my stash. Decorated with assorted ribbons, beads, and trinkets from Panduro & Slöjd-detaljer; and beads and ribbons from my mother’s stash. The fake leather used in Mikey’s belt is from my own stash.

Mods cat bodies

• Using one thread of each colour. Knitting everything in the round. Using ssk instead of skpo. Using lifted increases.
• Tails 35 rows = 9cm.
• Bob: Ears same sized but knitted double. Added 2st to tail.
• Gerard: 2st less on legs, arms, and head. 4st less on body. Smaller ears.
• Ray: 2 rows extra on legs and arms. 1st added to tail. Ears like Gerard’s but with 1 extra row. Skipped row 18 on the body, ignored decreases on row 20 and adjusted decreases on row 24.
• Mikey: 4st less and 2 rows more on legs, 2st less and 2 rows more on arms, 1st less and 3 rows more on tail, ears like Ray’s, skipped row 6 on body and ignored all further increases and decreases until row 28, and made the head slightly narrower and the nose a little longer.
• Frank: Stripes! 4st and 3 rows less on legs, 2st and 2 rows less on arms, 1st and 4 rows less on tail, ears like Gerard’s but one light and one dark, body 6st and 3 rows less, and head 4st and 2 rows less.

Timeline
2016-03-28: Starting with the Bob cat since I have to order the yarn for the others. Not enough yarn for tail.
2016-03-30: Stuffed and assembled. Think ears are probably too large an that’s why the head looks strange.
2016-04-02: Finished Bob!cat’s tail. I think he might need a sturdier one though…
2016-04-06: Started on Gerard!cat.
2016-04-10: Finished Gerard!cat and made a new tail for Bob. Worked on their faces. Using buttons as temporary eyes.
2016-04-20: Started on Ray!cat.
2016-04-26: Started on Mikey!cat while I waited for the pieces of Ray to dry.
2016-04-29: Finished Mikey!cat and all of Ray except the hair.
2016-04-30: Finished Ray’s hair and fiddled a little more with Mikey’s face.
2016-05-06: The eyes have arrived! They look so much better with real eyes. And after some more fiddling with Bob’s face I think I’m finally satisfied with him.
2016-05-09: Started on Frank!cat.
2016-05-14: Finished Frank! Now onwards to the uniforms.
2016-06-05: Started with the uniforms. Quite tricky. These kitties are seriously not meant for trousers. (Or high collars!)
2016-06-19: Finished sewing Gerard’s uniform.
2016-07-31: Started on Mikey’s uniform.
2016-08-11: Finished sewing Mikey & Ray’s trousers.
2016-08-12: Finished sewing Bob & Frank’s trousers.
2016-08-14: Cut out remaining jackets.
2016-08-15: Finished sewing Frank’s jacket

2016-08-25: Started on the decor of Gerard’s uniform.
