Using Grumperina's method for cabling without a cable needle.

Mods

• knitting all front st in the cable crossings twisted and crossed the centred crossings the other way on the right sock,
• knitting the first and last st of the stockinet section twisted,
• ribbing 10 r incl setup,
• leg knit 3 repeats of chart C&D, last repeat ended on r 15, decreased 2 st in stockinet section on r 10 of second repeat and third repeat = 68 st before starting heelflap,
• heelflap 34 r in stockinet, knit first and slip last st on all r, round heel, knit EOP during heel turn and for another 20 r,
• picked up 18 st on each side for gussets and knit through the backloop on the first r, decreased every 3rd r until 32 st left on sole,
• foot knit r 16 + r 1-16 4 times + r 1-13 + 1 r stockinet, decreased 2st on r 36 = 32 st left on instep,
• toe decreased every third r until 36 st left then every st until 8 left, cut yarn and pulled through.
