I love the way it turned out. It’s both cute and smart.

NOTE TO MYSELF: My hands really hurt after finishing this project. I suspect it’s the Big Delight yarn’s fault. It’s very hard and unforgiving to knit with.

Timeline
2014-08-15: Knitting the base on 9mm straight needles since the contrast colour yarn is slightly thicker than the main yarn.
2014-08-18: Making the piped edge was much easier than I thought it would be.
2014-08-28: Finished the body and i-cord bind-off. Only the i-cord for the handles left to knit.
2014-08-29: Finished!! Only made 2 meters of i-cord since I don’t plan on having very long handles.
2014-09-01: One cycle wasn’t enough to give the sturdiness I wanted. Two times seem to have done the trick though. Used old CDs to get the right shape.
2014-09-02: It’s looking very nice! The lining adds a nice bit of class to it. I could have made the i-cord for the handles even shorter. 1.7 meters would probably have been enough.
