Using Grumperina's method for cabling without a cable needle.

Mods

• knitting all st between pattern repeats plain and all cable st twisted,
• ribbing 12 r,
• leg r 1-22 twice + r 1-14,
• heel flap 34 r in plain stockinet, knit first and lift last st on each r, round heel, pick up 18 st for each gusset knit through backloop on next r, gusset decreases every 3rd r,
• feet r 15-22 + r 1-22 three times + 1 stockinet r,
• toe decreased every other r until 40 st left then every r until 8 left, cut yarn and pulled through.
