Mods

• Used JMCO and started knitting in both directions (with 2 balls of yarn) instead of doing a provisional cast-on.
• Using 4.5mm needles for the scarf and 4mm for the i-cord.
• Cast on 45 st. Will use chevron pattern all through with stripe sequence from Arles with some mods. Will knit on i-cord around all edges afterward.
• Using Center Double Decreases instead of k3tog.

Timeline
2016-10-20: The red yarn is really too dull to use on its own. Unraveled and will start over making it all chevrons & stripes.
2016-10-26: Started over.
2016-10-31: Noticed I’d made a mistake some stripes down. Had to unravel and reknit 38 rows to correct it. Grrr!
2016-11-01: Finished the scarf proper. Cast off in kni on the purl side. Started applied i-cord.
2016-11-03: Finished! Washed and blocked.
