11/29/30 - Cast on for baby size hat. Using up some leftovers for charity hats. I like the look of the tubular cast on but don’t love working it. Tried the Purl Bee method this time - and also followed the youtube video by Ysolda Teague - but on next hat will try the method using scrap yarn.

Using DPN’s since I don’t have the short cord for my interchangeables.

11/30 - finished one hat. Did a a stripe in the middle and then two-color pom pom.

To make Pom Pom: (~ 3 1/2 - 4” diameter ball)
hold both colors together, wrap around left hand (all 4 fingers) a bunch of times, to make a pretty thick roll. Slip off hand and set aside. Cut a separate piece of yarn, about 8 “ and tie around the yarn bundle super tight into a knot. Then cut all the “loops” on both sides of the knot, fluff, and trim to a neat pom pom.

For smaller pom pom, wrap around 2 or 3 fingers only.
