Notes

Black spruces grow in the spruce slopes of the Adirondacks. The pattern was a gift from the designer.

Really, this is a fun pattern. I think it could be improved by a better layout to the row instructions - it just gets confusing to have them jumping all over the place. The result is great - this is a very snuggly piece in worsted weight yarn. I’ve already gotten lots of compliments, and I was wearing it unblocked!

Challenges include keeping the two different edge treatments straight, following along the row count (sometimes the next row you knit is 6 rows above the last one), and keeping track of varying sizes of short row wedges.
