Notes

I love long, shallow shawls…especially since I tend to wear them more as scarves, and this pattern fit the bill. PLUS, I was able to use stash :)

Mods:

  • I did 20 repeats of the center section
  • I kept the sl2 wyib on every RS row on the right side (the dec section)…this was unintentional (apparently following directions are an iffy thing for me), but after doing a few rows as written, I decided to keep my “mistake”.

Despite the fact that I added additional repeats for the center section, my blocked size is 70” x 16” so slightly smaller than the pattern suggests. Still a very good size though. I could have blocked this more aggressively, however the yarn is thinner than what was suggested, so I went with what I had.

On the bind-off, I would REALLY recommend a stretchy BO rather than the standard…just to keep the two edges more symmetrical when blocking.

ETA: This has become one of my most worn shawls/scarves. (I tend to wear shawls similar to scarves.) When I wear this, the lace lays flat so you can actually see it…just love it!
