Could not resist this yarn. Perfect color and price. $25.00! Cast on immediately after returning home. Yarn has a nice sheen and feels very sturdy for a lace weight. Very easy to work with. The wonderful ladies at the Yarn Lounge offered to wind this huge skein so I had no excuses for not casting on. :)

July 17, 2011- Cast on with goal of splitting sleeves by weekend. This is going surprising fast-for now anyway…
July 24, 2011- Placed sleeves on holders. I didn’t want to place sleeves on holders and then try it on so I measured it against another top down raglan that fit perfectly. That seemed to work great. Giving myself two weeks to complete body. I set a goal of an inch a day which is about 8 rows.
August 1, 2011- A bit ahead of schedule. Just started bottom edging which will be a simple garter stitch that will be echoed on front edge and sleeves. I’m afraid that ribbing will stretch out over time. I like the way this is looking. I’m not at all bored with this project. Looking forward to final result.
August 15, 2011- Finished 3 days ahead of schedule. I could not be more pleased. I’m surprised it only took 900 yards. Project grew about 1.5 inches longer after blocking so I’m glad I went with the shorter length. I can’t wait to do another featherweight. Next time in a better quality wool.
