2-15-2010- Final comment… WOW! Blocking makes a huge difference!!!

2-10-2011- All done. I’m very pleased with my first real sweater. Light blocking should relax the stiches somewhat. I also highly recommend shorter circular needles for the sleeves and cowl as opposed to the dpns. I used size 7-24 inch for beginning of cowl and switched to size 10-16 inch for remainder. Also used size 10-16inch in circulars for sleeves. I highly recommend this pattern for a beginner. Can’t wait to knit it again in Malabrigo worsted! Bright yellow maybe???

2-7-2011- Finished one sleeve. Yay! Not so fun with dpns so I’m doing second sleeve with 16inch circulars. Going much smoother. Hope to be done by end of week. Winter’s almost gone, I hope…

2-4-2011- Just about to start the seed stitch bottom. I’m opting for a shorter length. Just enough to cover my tummy. This should be done in another week. Not much of winter left. I better get moving…

1-31-2010- Adding the extra stitches before knitting the bust area of the body did the trick. Its fits perfectly. I made sure I tried it on before doing the side decreases to be sure I was pass the bust area. Still knitting up very quickly. Completed the second set of side decreases and continuing on…

1-27-2011- Still going well. Sleeves are on waste yarn. I did decide to about 3 kfb increases on each side at the bust area as I started to knit the body just to be sure there is enough room for the girls.

1-24-2011- I knit the largest size which is a 2x but more like and XL/1X with my gauge which is 6 stiches per inch. This pattern super fast, easy to follow and adapt without throwing you off. Just knit more rows until you get a perfect fit. Using the larger needles gives the wool more body and loft. On to knitting the body…

1-22-2011-So far so good. This is the first sweater pattern that I totally understand. I’m obsessing about getting a good fit in the bust area so I’m hesitating to put the sleeves on holders until I’m sure I have a good fit…
