Notes

I received this yarn from a friend who begged our knitting group to take tons of these cones of silk, cotton, and linen. She bought the huge box insanely cheap. There is either 2000 or 2900 yards per pound on the cone and I’ve got a little over a pound. I could add a hood or longer sleeves or something. We’ll see!

I had to search high and low for the best name for this top. I settled on “Falling” by Richard Marx. I forget about him sometimes. His album My Own Best Enemy is one of my very favorite albums of all time. It makes me smile a lot, even though almost all the songs are kind of sad. This isn’t one of them.

“Like rays that come from heaven
Bathed in your affection….”

It’s pretty huge. I think it grew when I blocked it. Some time in the drier should fix it right up, I hope!

Washed and dried and it shrunk, softened, and bloomed! It’s a completely different garment now. I have to grow to like it for different reasons now (not hard!).
