I’m using crochet cotton that is finer than called-for. I’m getting gauge on the lace section (I have to wait until I’m done with my US 2s to start the back). It might be a little bit airier than intended, but it’s looking pretty right now, and that’s all that matters. :)

I’m not crazy about the yarn. The color was a gamble, but I’m liking it. It’s cotton, so it’s a little stiff and hard on the fingers, but I’m sure it will wash up just fine. I might wash it up when i get a few more inches in just to see what will happen.

Turns out, after some investigation, that the crochet thread I have is exactly the size called for. Hence, the perfect gauge. :) I’m really tired of the left front, but I’m almost done! Then…the right front….

Did the back on 1s because gauge on 2s was gigantic.

I have had so many moments of doubt knitting this thing, but it has turned out SO CUTE! It might be one of my favorite knits!
