Notes

I dedicate this sweater to my friend Destiny, who should have been sample-knitting away and without whom I would not be sample-knitting away. :)

Sample knit for Knitbot and Quince and Co. I got it a little late, so I’m going to have to knit it fast. So far so good! I’m really digging the yarn, color, and pattern!

Row gauge is off (as always) and stitch gauge is right on (as always), so to see what would happen post-block, I am blocking the sleeve. Stitch gauge is safe and I can get by with one row per inch more than called for. The fabric is magnificent! It’s going to need blocking at every stage to 1) get it done in time and 2) get it done right and to measurements. I am insanely excited about this!!!

A sweater in four days! Go me! It’s really half a sweater….I blocked the sleeves twice, they were the correct length both times, but now, as I block the bottom, I see the sleeves have somehow shrunk 2 inches! How does that happen?! I’m going to steam the whole thing tomorrow. If that doesn’t fix it, I guess I’ll try blocking again? This sweater is so stinkin’ cute and the fit is impossibly comfortable. I may need one.
