This has taken over from my Coast shawl as my favourite FO. It is made from some pure cashmere purchased way back when, and it’s taken me a long time to find the right project for it. The second (close-up) photo is most accurate for colour.

After a long soak in detergent and a warm machine cycle, this is softer and fluffier than anything has a right to be, and is wonderfully warm. I made it wider by adding an extra repeat to the width, but did the standard 18 repeats for a shawl size.

Finished size after blocking: 22 inches wide, 64 inches long. I chose to block it most aggressively in width, and not to make it too long since I only intend to wrap it once over myself. Beautiful and just perfect size for me.

Did I mention that this is the most wonderful yarn ever?
