Made from various sock yarn leftovers including some generously sent me by a Ravelry friend. I never really liked the mitred square look all that much until I saw some others which were done with the thin black border to separate and differentiate the squares - and instantly loved it. The cast-on is 45 stitches; each square takes around 30-40 minutes, so it’s quick and easy. I am loving it!
