Back when I was first planning my own crochet pattern website, I thought I should swatch an alternate version of each design in craft store yarns.

At the time there were no equivalent yarns for Mesmer, but I like how this “Marshmallow” version came out. It’s cotton crochet thread and boucle bamboo instead of lace wt kid mohair and sequined silk. Looks more woven and casual in person, and feels luxurious because of the heavy draping of the bamboo ridges.
