Each row has 12 stars. I did 24 rows of the Elements yarn, then ran out (I only had a partial ball). Added 16 more rows of the SWTC SYN, which I love. I’m glad I did. I like the two-tone effect when it’s wrapped around a boot.

Wove two braided ties through every other 4th or 5th star stitch from each edge. I think I’ll finish the ends of the ties with chubby tassels, or a plain clear colorless bead for a bit of weight. I’ll need to dip the cut yarn ends in something to prevent fraying.
