- 3 extra pattern repeats to body
- went down 1 needle size for CC purl row before ruffle, then back up for ruffle
- made ruffle 15 sts instead of 13
Pattern
Super-easy, well-written pattern. Love that the ruffle means no bind-off (or, if you prefer, the worlds longest bind-off, LOL). My usual complaint: not enough photos, particularly of an actual person modeling it, front & back.
Yarn
Oh. Em. Eff. GEE. This yarn is so delectably soft and stupendously squooshy, I just want to roll around in it naked to my heart’s content. And the colors make me swoon: just enough subtle variation throughout the skeins to add depth without so much that it’s obvious. My only concern is the low-twist singles: will it pill?
Progress Notes
7/11/11 Lucky #11 & I’m calling it good!
7/6/11 Wove in ends & done but no pics because my computer is in the shop. Soon.
7/5/11 Shizzela. My laptop crapped out on 7/2, couldn’t take it in ‘til after the holiday, then my husband got sick enough to take him to the hospital; spent ALL DAY in the ER with him, knitting away. Finished knitting when we got home.
7/2/11 I got about 1/4 or 1/5 of the ruffle done today.
7/1/11 Crikey! Ordered my yarn for Project 2, so I’d better get crackin’, especially since Tour de Fleece starts tomorrow also. Working the ruffle! (21 ribs done)
6/30/11 Finished extra repeats (total: 18).
6/29/11 Did some back-of-the envelope math, & it looks like the st count needs to be divisible by 6 plus 3 to work out when making larger. Consulted with the designer who says she thinks that will work. Planning 3 extra repeats.
6/28/11 13 repeats complete.
6/27/11 Took to BSG, knit exactly 1 row. Geez.
6/21/11 10 repeats complete.
6/18/11 Back at it again! 8 repeats down.
6/16/11 Set aside to finish my Stripe Study.
6/15/11 12:01 am PST - Cast on!
