  • Cast on 48 stitches using long tail cast on.
  • (RS) Purl first row maintaining 4 stitches of garter stitch on each end.
  • Knit 5 rows of stockinette
  • (RS) Knit one row, add buttonhole
  • (WS) Purl one row
  • Knit 5 rows of stockinette
  • Knit one row
  • Bind off using long tail bind off for purl side facing.

Ear warmer is modeled by my three year old, so it’s a little big. This pattern is for an adult sized head. It would be easy to modify for the smaller crowd, though.
