I followed the pattern exactly. During the first row of single crochet edging, I joined the petals in the 6th stitch from the top of the petal. (More clearly - 6 sc up the right side of the petal, 3 sc in top stitch of petal, 6 sc down the left side of the petal, 6 sc up the right side of the next petal…repeat all the way around.) I only did two rows of sc for the edging.

4/7/10: The Meret Beret made me mad, so to cool off I started this hot pad for my mom’s birthday.

4/9/10: All done! It’s soaking in a vinegar bath, which I hope will slow any future fading.
