I used this pattern as a guide. During the increase rounds, some of the numbers were off, so I fudged it. I also ended up crocheting a lot more rows than the pattern called for since I needed more length. I added 2 rows (one decrease row, one plain row) to each tail piece as well.

8/31/12: Eva’s scheduled to have her picture taken on the beach during September. She definitely needs a mermaid tail!

9/9/12: Finished the tail and had Eva’s picture taken on the beach!
