I used a size F hook for this project and a yarn similar to Caron Simply soft, rather than what was called for, and simply adjusted the size to fit her, rather than following the pattern exclusively. I am purposing to make this a baby doll nightie, rather than a dress. I also made the back yoke smaller than the front, giving allowance for the bust in the front which I made a bit larger, and the straps will be adjustable, with two or three small buttons to be placed on the back end of each strap, and buttoned into the spaces I created in the back shells. Very pretty so far.
