Notes

A nice, quick knit. Tried using Q-Tips in the legs, but the blue showed through and Katherine decided that she’d rather have floppy legs on her lamb anyway.

Noel the Christmas Lamb was finished on Christmas Day and is now safely tucked into bed with his girl.

Used a double-strand of the Kroy fingering to get the right weight. Worked great! I assembled and sewed in ends as I went, so that there was no great fuss of assembly and fiddly end-sewing awaiting me after the knitting. If I were doing it again, I’d do the feet before the legs and assemble them as one continuous piece. The feet could be knitted, stuffed and then I-cord worked from the ankles up, with straws or other stiffeners added to the legs before they were attached to the sheep.

Noel was stuffed with Cheviot wool and I deliberately didn’t pack him tight, so that he’s still quite cuddly and less rotund than he might have been.
