Notes

I love how MMario’s pattern so beautifully captures the delicacy of the Queen Anne’s Lace flowers. I chose a yarn color close to the color of the stems and foliage, rather than a white to match the flowers themselves. The yarn doesn’t have quite as much blue as it looks like in the first photo.

8/7/11 This pattern was so much fun to make! I had to keep my place pretty carefully in the first chart or so, so I wouldn’t forget which round I was on, but the later rounds were pretty easy to read. The yarn also made me happy the entire time I was knitting this shawl. I’ll probably block this shawl sometime this week, even though it’s not going to go to its eventual owner until Christmastime.
