I’ve snuggled in this all winter long. Bought the pattern for the designer’s Doctors Without Borders fundraiser and waited til Unwind to cast on because I wanted to choose the perfect yarn. Something luxurious. The just-released silk merino from White Gum Wool hit the spot. It’s downright decadent. Not entirely convinced of the need for the special stitch in the pattern. It slowed up the process & adds a textural element that I feel could have been achieved with moss stitch? But maybe I was doing it wrong… at any rate, I love the finished shawl. It’s not quite deep enough to be a walking blanket but the extra length for wrapping is marvellous. Everything you want in a comfort knit.
