Notes

Turns out this wrap made in a silk merino mix is the ideal garment for an autumnal Pacific Island jaunt: lovely and light but warm enough to ward off any air-con-induced chill on the plane, and not too warm to wear outdoors on a balmy tropical evening.

It’s the first time I’ve knitted with Dark Harbour Starboard and I’m so happy I have more stashed away. Shiny pretty. And the drape is dreamy.

And the pattern? There’s a reason it’s so popular. Well written, beautifully charted… the FO is divine - not very deep and really long so you can wind it round and round your neck and pretend to be an effortlessly glamorous Parisienne. Or wrap it around your shoulders and still have ends left to elegantly dangle.

I used stitch markers between the lace repeats for mindless knitting, just moving them as needed which really wasn’t a chore.

Discovered single row garter stripes are possibly not my thing - I love how they look but they drove me round the twist to knit. This project had a LOT of time out. All is forgiven now though.
