Das Zählmuster stammt aus Aino Praakli ‘s Buch “Eesti sokikirjad ilma laande laiali“ (Estnische Strümpfe um die ganze Welt) und musste erst noch “eingenordet” werden, denn die Darstellungen in Praaklis Büchern sind nicht immer sehr genau. Danke, Lizzy, dafür!

Ich habe mir gedacht, das wäre doch ein schneller Strumpf, bevor ich nach Estland reise, denn eigentlich wollte ich Muhu-Socken stricken, aber das schaffe ich nicht bis dahin. Also stricke ich diese Strümpfe, die mir immer schon gefallen haben.

Sie stammen aus dem Dorf Porka in der Region Helme, kamen 1941 ins Museum und stammen wohl aus dem Jahr 1880

These stockings are from the village Porka in the estonian region Helme, they were brought to the Estonian National Museum in 1941 and believed to be knitted in 1880

The pattern is in Aino Praakli ‘s book “Eesti sokikirjad ilma laande laiali“ (Estonian stockings all around the world) and as usual the pattern there is not really clear.. so we had to work out the repeats.. thank you, Lizzy, for that!

I promised to knit a pair of Muhu Stockings before summer, but that was not possible, so I choose this nice pattern.
