First time that I knitted Mini-Mittens, as I participated in the “Mini Mitten Swap” at the Ravelry Group “Knit Like a Latvian“ this spring.

I must say it was fun to knit, and hard as well, imagine such a little thumb ;=)

When it was finished and on it’s way to the recipient, I could not show it to anybody… a secret project … until now, at June 11 we were allowed to open the parcels!

And I am glad that my gift came to the right house. And I must say I am surprised about the phantasy and care and love expressed by all the projects of this swap, so many personal presents…

I will certainly take part at the next KAL for sure.

And I must say: I got such a lovely pair of mini-mittens in reverse, knitted for me by bettysd, what a pleasure and what a great idea this swap is!

To show the size of these miniature-mittens I added a wine-cork to the photo, but I did not send it…

the wooden piece is the symbol of Zalktis, my favorite latvian symbol as this snake is responsible for health, well-being and safety and I am glad to say that we have some of these animals in our garden as well!
