I won’t add all yarns here, but it’s original latvian yarn.
All skeins and balls now rest in a big box and wait for their performance ;=)
The grey photo was taken to check the contrast of possible combos, a method I learned from Mary Jane Mucklestone’s FairIsle Pattern book
Today I collect the needles and start the cast on which I have never really done with circular needles… I love my DPNs…. but I am willing to learn

This is my 99th project at Ravelry… hard to believe…

first chapter is knitted, with DPNs and not with circular needles, magic loop is not for me and knitting with 2 circulars as well not my thing…
but I did move the first stitch each round

Step 2 is finished! I wove in the ends and kept the ends a little longer than usual, they stay inside, so no problem

Step 3 was a fast one and Step 4 nearly the same pattern as Step 2, just the rays of the suns are connected, so you don’t knit with 3 colours in a row…
I decided to follow my colours for the sun-spots to get stronger contrasts
and I wait until the next part is out before I cut the threads as it makes no sense to cut and weave in the colour which you will use in the next row - don’t follow “weave in the ends” blindly!
also nicht treudoof der Anweisung “weave in the ends” folgen
