Notes

Brim is ribbing instead of stockinette, because I don’t care for rolled hems. It is also shorter than the pattern calls for.

I knit the brioche section for about 6 inches before doing decreases (as the yarn was much larger than the pattern called for, that bit was shorter).

Decreases were worded difficultly1, but I managed to parse them well enough to get a decrease that looks like it belongs.

Black yarn was bulky acrylic, not added in Rav for some reason but definitely in my stash for a disgustingly long time. Started with 78g of the black (a partial skein) and ended with 28g (so, used 50g).

  1. The brioche instructions were abbreviated differently than I am familiar with, and that was tricky. Perhaps standardizing them within the pattern – and differentiating brioche instructions from decreases would help clarify things.
