Notes

Beautiful design! I had this on my to do list ever since it came out. The only downside in my opinion is that the garter rows grow so fast and it gets a bit boring after awhile. But it can’t all be as much fun as the short rows ;)

Chart is easy to follow. I had to peek into the written pattern when I should turn, though. But after that, all was clear.

Notes about the yarn
Super soft! The softest I’ve ever felt. Very rich in color, as is expected of the countess’ yarn.
It’s a camel/silk blend and therefor it sticks to itself quite easily. When I’m going to wetblock I already know I will have to handle this with the greatest care. I think it will felt quite easily.
This yarn is also a reminder I really need to get me a swift! As I said before, this yarn likes to stick to itself and if it’s only wound loosely around my legs, well, lets say I had a fun evening untangling.

Fun fact: It has never happend to me before, but as I was knitting, I felt a hard piece in the yarn. It turned out to be a piece of hay entwined in the yarn! Truly a product of nature :D

I finished! I cheated a little, knitting less rows of garter in between short row parts. I Bound off with single crochets and did another row of sc, ch 3, sc 3 for a nice picot edge. Looks lovely!
