Debbie asked for two little gnomes. I’d started one in a non-Debbie color, so made three.

For nose, I worked a 5-stitch bobble at the end of the first of the two plain rows mid-beard. (Slipped the first stitch in each bobble row to tighten it up.) EZ’s sewn bind-off makes a better finish to the beards, matching the long-tail cast-on.

Early assembly attempt was a failure: the gnomes were top-heavy and wouldn’t stand up. So gnome parts have been sitting in a timeout pile on my coffee table for six months.

I finally resolved to get these done, and had the inspiration to stuff the body with pennies. It was working, but then I discovered that I’d made the bodies too short for the beards. Reknitting, and maybe sourcing some BBs for stuffing.
