oh, could you knit a little cable on the shoe instead of embroidering the laces?

24 dec - done!! (but didn’t manage the dog)
23 dec - finished forelegs and one paw.
21 dec - cast on pullover in pond. used longtail cast on which is just ok for getting neckline over doll’s head. would have been better to use the buttonhole cast-on. changed fair isle design to have more of contrast colour. just did 2 colours. k 11 rows of sleeve before decreasing.
20 dec - trousers complete except for a few ends. fit is fine but would make the crotch longer by a couple of rows, so 13 rounds for crotch. length as in pattern is fine. i also put a little gusset into the pants by picking up 4 sts along the crotch gap, working three rows in st st and casting off. then stitched it in place. a bit rough but i think helps with fit.
19 dec - finished head, made ears. ears are v cute but the dog, maybe not so cute. not sure how to complete this without it looking v odd.
18 dec - had to change head decrease counts as well of course. Made N3 9 sts instead of 12 and started w k2 k2tog.
17 dec - ben finished. cast on dog in grey. only increasing to 36 sts, too fat otherwise! likewise, head increased to only 24 sts.
16 dec - tried to knit the shoe with the 1006, most unsuccessful. the wool was so sticky that i could barely get it to move along the needles and have ended up with a split in the quick of my thumb, just beneath the nail. it stings!! actually added 3 rounds to leg so 21 rounds for leg. completed a shoe in heilo navy.
15 dec - other leg done to shoe. arm - pick up 3 sts and k2tog/ssk live st and picked up st that are next to each other - 17sts. one arm complete, other arm knit to wrist decrease row.
14 dec - 1 leg done to shoe (18 rows skin colour), other leg just grey done. also worked on dog. no, don’t like the dog, i think i’ll scrap it. it’s too fat anyway.
12 dec 14 - waist decreases done 1 st in from side line. shorts section of leg, only 9 rows as i’m trying to make ben a little smaller than the other doll.
11 dec 14 - head - k 10 rows from marker. head done. work first 2 rows of torso in skin colour. finished to where divide for arms.
