12 jun 14 - ends woven in, buttons sewn on.
2 jun - 1 sleeve done. 54 sts.
1 jun - yoke complete, just need to do jssbo.
31 may - have completed row 9 of yolk. split at the end of round 6 as recommended elsewhere. I did this by dropping the yo just after my marker and knitting to one st short of central st (that is, the st that is in the absolute middle of the back). then swapped central st with st to its left and knit central st together with st on its right. effectively, this gets rid of that centre stitch and the opening is placed directly above it. turned work and on the way back picked up the yo that i had previously dropped and purled into it. if this pattern were better written then the beginning of round would be the central st to begin with, rather than it moving to the right all the time.

30 may- completed waistband. cast on and worked row 1 of yoke. used crochet provisional cast on.
23 may - blocked fabric is divine. and truly, just 2 more rows to go for the skirt but i am that tired. tomorrow …
22 may - have knit about 8.5” so decided to give it a test block. drying now. measured remaining yarn - 65 grams to go. utterly stumped - i must have knit more than 35gm of yarn. yes, it’s a 150gm skein. pretty sure i’ll have enough there to complete the dress, won’t have to break into next skein (not sure how well it would match).
18 may - have about 6.5” in length (going for 9.5”). need to block this at around 8” to see what difference that makes. 23 days to go.
16 may - this is reminding me of maltesers
13 may - moss st border complete. why 11 rounds? i did 12
12 may 14 - cast on on train this morning. have knit 9 rows of moss st. laborious! but yarn is looking just gorgeous. may just be the perfect shade of pinky brown.
