Crossed sts at underarm when joined fronts and back.
Joined on row 17 so didn’t work bobble at edges of back and at front underarms.
increased 1st between fronts and back so there are 3 sts bw bobbles down side

sleeves - picked up 34 sts both sides as per size L sleeve. worked set up rows and three further rpts. worked first decr on row 6 of rpt 3 (also fourth cable cross). continued to work next 9 decrs every 8th row (which is as per M size but i got them confused when reading pattern). work next 2 decrs every 6th row.
after last cable on sleeve work 3 rows even, then change to 3.5mm for 15 rows of 1x1 rib.
Ribbings gauge at cuff on 3.5mm - 28sts

5-st popcorns instead of bobbles

9 aug - finished sewing on buttons. So now, really and truly - finished!!
22 jul 21 - sewing on the buttons! But only have 2 backing buttons. Using 3.75mm dpn to make shank.
6 dec - finished collar. Grafted buttonhole band
30 nov - buttonhole band done: on 4th row work 5, 5-st single-row buttonhole, work 8 x 7, buttonhole, work 7 to end Only grafted a few sts at neckline does could pick up for neckband. Worked 2 rows of neckband.
29 nov - picked up 108 for button band. Worked 7 rows 1x1 rib. Worked 2 rows for tubular bind off. Grafted. Picked up sts for buttonhole band, worked 2 rows.
22 nov - ended up doing ribbing on 4mm, tightly. 8 rows followed by 2 tubular rows. (Forgot option of doing some more short rows in the ribbing …) Grafted, all done. Might weave in ends and wash before measuring length at front.
20 nov - worked six short rows across back, first before the adjacent vines, in between and after them. charts FINISHED! Just ribbing and bands to go.
19 nov - both sleeves done. rpt 6 of back done.
17 nov - Ready to graft left cuff
9 nov - oh these body rows are looong. row 23 of 5th (i think) rpt done.
6 nov - got left sleeve to same point as right except for the couple of additional rows. will do later). back working on body
5 nov - 14th cable rpt done on left sleeve; only three to go to match right sleeve
25 oct - right sleeve is 39cm long, 17 cable crosses and 12 decrs altogether. On tenth rpt of left sleeve, six decrs done, 22cm in length.
22 oct - right sleeve: have worked 16 cable crosses and 10 decrs so far. is about 35cm in length but i think still not quite long enough.
17 oct - worked left sleeve until had done 7 cable crosses/3 decrs. then yarn ran out. next round is eighth cable cross/fourth decr. swapped to right sleeve and picked up sts, have knit set up and two rpts so far.
15 oct - can’t-put-down knitting. Joined fronts and back at row 17. Crossed sts at the join for stability. Knitted a few rows of a few sts underneath the armhole to stabilise further and picked up 34 sts each side for sleeve (plus 10sts for shoulder strap). Have 173gm left of first 400gm that prewashed so I assume I’ve used a little more than 2 skeins so far.
14 oct - got to row 10.
13 oct - worked to row 16 (19 rows on left front). need to work one full rpt more before can join.
12 oct - worked row 16 on right front and back. Length below underarm is 18cm.
10 oct - 3 rpts in length done on back.
8 oct - worked row 8 and steam blocked. Comes out at 16cm but I’ll let it cool and spring back a bit before deciding. Even if I decide to go up to the next size, I don’t think I’ll unravel. I can fashion a rev st st panel down the side, or maybe just below the underarm. Hey, maybe I’ll do that anyway, decreasing it away to give a little more room at the bust.
7 oct - worked on right (?) front. Have done row 7 of third rpt. 12cm in length. Probably need to work 14 or 16? to make 16cm.
28 sep - made it to row 40
27 sep - started again
26 sept - frogged
21 sept 2019 - steam blocked at 18 rows. finished row 30.
