5 apr - managed a couple of purple cabbages!
13 - trimmed the field from the recycled sweater bc it was too big for the space. Crocheted edge w borgs vävgarner in dark brown
5 jan 15 - sewed down a field! and cast on for another with the jo sharp silkroad aran tweed in brindle. and cast it off.
7 sep - finished tufting the corn field. it’s only about half as big as it needs to be though :( not sure if i will be able to reproduce it with a different dyed up yarn … finished 2 more cabbages. will make 4 more and some green ‘lettuce’ for another field.
6 sep - can get another ball of gerbera on ebay if necessary. finished the corn field and cut the loops. maybe not quite dense enough so bought some dmc tapestry wool (7058) to thicken it up. ugh, laborious. loop st wasn’t thick enough so have inserted a tuft of the tapestry wool bw each st on RS. 2 rows to go. also bought 4 americolor food dyes - leaf green, forest green, avocado and gold) to dye some plain yarn that i have. commenced dyeing experiments. also commenced crocheting some purple cabbage-like things with rialto held double on 4mm hook. made 2.
5 sep - cast on 24 sts on 3.75 with rowan pure wool 4ply held double, knitting in loop st for corn. might need to trim ends …
25 aug - knitting away at it. yarn is not v springy and it’s a little hard on the hands using the 3.75mm needles.
24 aug - cast on 43 sts w brown wool upcycled from the knit that i bought to mend starsky with. 1x1 twisted rib (row 1: ktbl, p; row 2 k, p)
21 aug - have almost finished nest ploughed field. it looks good, v happy
20 aug - cast on again with nest double stranded on 3.75mm needles. 46 sts, working 2x2 broken rib.
9 aug - rowan wool cotton, jo sharp silkroad aran tweed and louet gems for pompoms, made by poppet, miss bear and myself.
7 aug - no, not dense enough or defined enough. might try 2x2 broken rib.
6 aug - cast on 41 sts on 4mm needles w loft in nest, broken rib
5 aug - awesome, have used up 2 balls of stash - MT wellwater and betine.
3 aug - madelinetosh betine on 3.25mm, furrowed rib (?); also bought an automatic french knitter at spotlight in springvale on the way back from family lunch in berwick. made cord from TML and louet gems to use for stream and pond.
30 jul - cast off first part of street (35gm)
29 jul - street in grignasco bambi, cast on 23sts, linen stitch, yarn held triple on 4.5mm needle
28 jul - colour photocopy of pages
17 jul - finally sewed up the canvas and drew in the outlines.

31 may 14 - bought the canvas at the op shop yesterday for $1.25. actually, i think it’s needlepoint fabric but it will do! but was disappointed bc it wasn’t actually large enough for the whole thing and i would have to make decisions about how to cut it down. then bought an identical piece at the same op shop a few days later. plenty enough now!
