14 nov - row 50 complete and finished off fifth skein of yarn. So onto skeins 6 and 7. And that’s all I’ve got …
13 nov - finished row 45 of chart.
12 nov - finished row 30 of chart
11 nov - finished row 21 of chart.
8 nov - finished second set of rows 1-6. beware on row 5 - instructions don’t take account of stitch patterning and would have you p2 together but actually much better to make paired decreases (ssk and k2tog) to continue line of st st
finished rows 1-4 again but left out a couple of decreases (in the same spot) so will have to correct them as i reach them again. ready to start the chart!! Worked decrease on row 1 so that edge line of st st is on top
7 nov - hooray, all joined up and on one needle. am part way through row 6 on the first set of 1-6.
6 nov - bobbles on side 4 complete!! no bobbles, ever again!! (except for the ones in the body of the blanket - oh well)
30 oct - side 3 complete. Incredibly exciting, all three sides joined in one needle. Current weight is 181gm
29 oct - yay, side 3 bobble row done and the next 6 to boot. it does actually become easier.
28 oct - side 3, 21 bobbles done. i’m thinking it’s just best to plow on through them. besides, i can’t wait to knit the actual blanket.
25 oct - finished row 5 of border shaping
24 oct - oh hooray! finished the bobbles. only 96 of them to go - ach!
17 oct - cast on again.
30 sept - finished first side to shaping. 53gm left from that skein, so used about half a skein.
22 sept 2016 - 195sts w a long tail cast on. have knit 2 bobbles so far. 46 to go. three more times. after this, i predict that will never wish to knit a bobble again!
am knitting bobbles as per instruction but instead of turning work am working only in k on right side, carrying yarn across the back as if it were icord.
12 bobbles done. i think in the body of the blanket, i might do one less k4 row.
