modifications

• knit in round from the very beginning, incl edge and ear flaps
• missed first row of chart bc I didn’t realise it went over two pages
• no icord bc I think that’s dangerous, did a row of dbl crochet (U.K. Terminology) instead.

14 feb 2017 - oh my goodness, sometimes I can hardly believe myself. I have made three attempts starting this hat. I ended up diagramming the entire short row progression of the ear flaps. The numbers just didn’t make sense. Anyway, in the end, it was all backwards bc I was knitting in the round and hadn’t read the instructions that it’s knit flat to begin with. Yep, that line about knitting a row and that being the back that didn’t make sense and I just decided to ignore? Yep, made sense if you actually read it properly. Aaaargh!!!
And then I missed the first row of the chart bc it was over the page. Ugh. Driving me nuts.
