Love this yarn

13 oct - ah, small victories. Sleeve cap finally done.
2 aug - finally, cast on secon bl#^dy sleeve
14 July - yay, finished a sleeve! Four rows of stocking st after the purl ridge. K2tg tbl cast off.
13 July - finished decrease rows. Only decrease to 62 bc of the extra sts for the seam.
8 july - 5 decrease rows worked
5 july - ripped back, changing to decr every 6th row
4 July - need to get down to 60 sts, that’s 11 decreases over the course of 7”. Would be nice to work straight for a bit too though. Ok, need to measure row gauge. Have done 3 decrease rows so far, decreasing on every 4th row but I think that’s too steep. Tomorrow, when I find a tape measure.
3 july - first sleeve cap complete. was supposed to be 9, 9, 9, 12, 12, 9, 9, 9, but picked up a couple of extra somewhere so 82 sts all up, will have to decrease at faster rate. picked up all sts, purled to 13 sts past centre, on k row started in pattern working row 7 (eyelet in centre of rpt). yay!
1 july - ripped sleeve. need to pick up sts again and make sure it’s even either side.
30 June - finally picked up sts for sleeves. I think I knit the armscye way too deep. On underarm 4 sts start w kbf, k3, pick up 4 on diagonal, then 3 sts for every 4 rows, 4 on diagonal, k3, kfb. Extra st at each end is for seaming. Total was 78. Knitting short rows as per largest size.
First row, p to 13 sts past centre, w&t
Next k to 13 sts past centre, w&t
Next purl as instructed
Next row is knit and work row 7 from chart. Continue.
24 may - ripped back the collar which i finished a couple of days ago. the rib just wasn’t firm enough, didn’t like it at all. ripped back to garter ridge and just continued in stocking st from there so edging rolls over. did 3 decreases along each side of the neckline too, just to draw it in a bit
7 May - finished body, joined at shoulders w 3-needle bind off.
30 apr - finished back. there’s a few odd things about this pattern. i think there’s a mistake in the wording for the finishing off the first shoulder - instructs you to knit to end and purl back, picking up wraps. but you actually have to pick up the wraps on the knit row. and not sure why you should break yarn after first back shoulder, rather than just knitting across the neck sts. anyway, i did bc i couldn’t be bothered fiddling with the stitch holder they were on.
next is to work the right front w buttonholes. again, strange. will work left front first so that i know where to put the buttonholes.
25 apr - split for fronts and back. Doesn’t make sense to cut yarn here and work on back. I think I’d prefer to keep working the left front. Nope, have to do right front first to make sure that row counts match (and you do right front first to allow for buttonholes. Either way, am not going to break yarn but just start on other ball, maybe w back).
